This animation was created in my year 9 animation class.
It was designed using adobe animate and wacom drawing tablets (this was the first time I had used a wacom before)
The story follows 214-B, a robot working endlessly in a factory. in this universe robot mass production for free labour has been normalised, and due to corporate greed, funding has been cut from the maintenance of these robots. thus these robots oxidise very quickly and need to recharge very frequently, Furthermore they need to perform self-repair using junk and trash left for them in the junkyard outside, this is shown early with 214-B's foot being a repurposed laundry iron.
To clean themselves, robots lay motionless in baths of rust remover.
The story as a whole is meant as a metaphor for overworking oneself and living a life unfulfilled. eventually as 214-B shuts down, the world around them keeps turning, as if nothing had happened
